Bookulus makes a personalised children's story: you choose the tale, give the child's name and upload a photo, and we produce an illustrated book whose hero resembles your child.

Two bundles are offered: the digital illustrated book at $39, and the book together with an animated cartoon of it, narrated in English, at $59.

Both are digital products. The book can be read on the site and downloaded as a PDF; the cartoon can be watched and downloaded. We do not currently ship printed copies.

An account is required to order. The details on it must be accurate — that is where your finished book is sent.

By uploading a child's photo you confirm that you are that child's parent or legal guardian and are entitled to use the photo for this purpose.

You must not upload anyone else's photo without their consent, or any unlawful, offensive or infringing material.

Prices are shown in US dollars and include all applicable taxes. You always see the final amount before paying.

Payments are processed by Flitt, a licensed payment provider. We accept Visa and Mastercard, as well as Apple Pay and Google Pay.

You enter your card details directly on the provider's secure page — we never see or store your card number. Only the outcome of the payment reaches us.

If you are charged but the order does not start, contact us and we will refund you in full.

A book usually takes a few minutes to produce; a cartoon takes up to twenty. Times can be longer at busy periods.

The finished book and cartoon appear under “My stories” and we also email you a link. You can close the page — the work continues.

If an order cannot be completed for technical reasons, we re-run it or refund you in full.

Every book and cartoon is made individually for one named child. For such goods — made to the customer's specification and supplied digitally — the fourteen-day right of withdrawal from a distance contract does not apply once production has begun, and you agree to this when you confirm the order.

Before production begins you may cancel at any time and be refunded in full.

If what you receive is corrupted, incomplete or clearly not what you ordered, contact us within fourteen days: we will remake it free of charge, and refund you if that does not put it right.

Refunds are returned to the card you paid with, normally within five to ten working days.

The illustrations, the character and the cartoon are generated by artificial intelligence. The character is a stylised, artistic version of your child rather than an exact portrait, so the likeness is always an approximation.

Generating the same story again may produce a different result. That is the nature of the product and is not a defect.

The book and cartoon we make are yours for personal, non-commercial use: read them, download them, print them for yourself, and share them with family and friends.

You may not sell them, reproduce them for sale, or use them commercially without our written permission.

The story texts, templates, illustration style, site and brand remain the property of Bookulus.

A child's photo is used only to create the character and is deleted immediately afterwards. The Privacy Policy sets this out in full.

We work to keep the service running, but do not guarantee that it will always be available or entirely free of errors.

Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the order concerned. This does not restrict any rights you have under law.

We may update these terms. Changes take effect when published and do not apply to orders already confirmed. The date is shown at the top of this page.

These terms are governed by the law of Georgia. We aim to resolve any dispute by agreement; failing that, it will be heard by the courts of Georgia.
